Do I have to have pay a deposit or have a card on file to book?Unfortunately, no shows and cancellations happen. When that happens, our calendar is left with an open time slot that could have been filled by someone who has been waiting weeks or months for an appointment. The deposit and card on file helps us manage no-shows, late fees, cancellations, etc.
-

How should I prepare for my facial? When you visit Precise Beauty Bar for a facial treatment, you should arrive in your most natural state. This means no make-up or other products. We also recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure and harsh treatments on your face the week prior to your appointment.
-
Why can’t I book a peel for my first appointment? Our philosophy is to improve skin health first before any peel or blade is administered to correct the skin. Even if you have seen a separate esthetician before or had a chemical treatment in the past, you are still on day one with us. Your esthetician will analyze your skin and let you know when a peel or advanced treatment would be a great option for you.
-
Will my face hurt after a chemical peel?Depending on the formula used, you may have some discomfort when it is on your skin. If you have a lighter peel, you will probably feel some stinging, but it goes away quickly with a handheld fan. Medium and deep chemical peels are recommended to correct deeper damage and offer results that last a long time, but they are typically more uncomfortable. Your esthetician will go over skin care after your chemical peel to extend your results.
-
Can I still get a facial treatment if I'm taking medication for my skin?We will not perform peels, microdermabrasion or hair removal services on pregnant women or on guests who are using Retin A, Accutane, Avage, Tazorac, Differin or any other medications that increase skin exfoliation or compromise the skin. Peels, microdermabrasion or hair removal cannot be performed on people who have recently had laser treatments, plastic surgery or a sunburn.
-
I'm pregnant, can I still get a facial?Yes, please book the Prenatal Facial as it is tailored for prenatal care.
-
What will my skin look like right after a facial?Usually you will leave with glowing skin! However, most facials come with extractions, so some redness may occur right after the facial. We do use a high-frequency wand with all facial treatments to lessen redness when and if it occurs.
-
How often should I get facials? To maintain optimum nourishment of your skin, we recommend having a facial every 4-6 weeks. If you are looking to correct an issue such as blemishes, your esthetician will be happy to assist you in choosing a regimen that will work best for your specific skin type and issue.
-
What should I expect after dermaplaning? In the hours following your dermaplaning treatment, you should expect little to no downtime. Patients should avoid prolonged exposure to the sun because the skin will be very sensitive in the days following the treatment. Dermaplaning patients can expect results quickly since dermaplaning reveals brighter, tighter, and smoother softer skin instantaneously. To help you protect your refreshed skin, your esthetician will discuss an improved skin care routine with you, including the regular application of sunscreen.
-
Is it possible to use too many skincare products?Yes. It is possible to overuse and misuse skincare products. This can compromise skin causing more harm than good. Please book a consultation with an Esthetician to find out which products are best for you and how frequently they should be used for best results.
-
What is the most important step in nighttime skin routine? The night time skin routine is "restorative." At night, it’s all about rebuilding and nourishing your skin barrier. Cleansing is extremely important because your skin has been exposed throughout the day and you may/may not have dirt, debris or makeup residue remaining on the skin. The other extremely important step is moisturizing the skin. This is needed to replenish and nourish the skin.
